We only lasted a few weeks after Sandy's sad demise before we felt the place was far to quiet with out him scurrying round at night. We fancied having two critters running around, but of coarse Syrian Hamsters don’t play well with others. Unfortunately the Russian Dwarf Hamsters that we had been told were an option would escape our currant set up easily. So we, well myself and Quinn anyway, decides upon two Gerbils instead.
However Sabrina wasn’t to keen on them, something to do with the tail’s. Then one day we were in a pet shop and saw a lovely honey coloured one with black ears. We didn’t get her then as Sabrina wasn’t sure she wanted two cage setups, but a few days later we went and collected her. She wasn’t as old as Sandy was when we got him, and was a lot more cautious but is very handleable if she’s in the mood. She has some force in her bite and has already drawn blood on one of my fingers. Of course she got named Honey.
