The Restoration Of Amazon

Introduction
It first started in 1989 when I received a letter (having left my details in a book in the Arthur Ransome room at the Abbot Hall Museum) asking for funds to help in the restoration of Amazon. Not having much on at the time, I decided it would be an ideal opportunity to work with a team of other restorers, (thinking a boat museum with in the region of 30 boats would have a few) and exchange skills. When I contacted the Museum however, it turned out that they didn't have any boat builders working for them at the moment, and would I like to be that team!

I moved down to Windermere to start on her in January 1990.
All the photos were taken by myself (using remote air trigger where necessary), if you want to use any of them, ask and I'll try and supply a higher resolution copy. It'll be appreciated if they are not used without my permission though. Thank you.
